Val di Fanes: a territory rich in myths and legends<\/h2>\n

Val di Fanes is a timeless place, rich in legends and extraordinarily fascinating in every season, for the variety of environments and the beauty of the views. We cross from east to west this territory, which joins the Ampezzo Valley and the Val Badia.
\n<\/blockquote>\n

\"val<\/a>Fanes: a people, a kingdom. The legend tells of battles, magic, infallible arrows and mountains that change color. We will discover together some of the places in which the saga of Fanes is set.<\/p>\n

The “Alpe di Fanes Piccola” is wild, desert, lunar, consisting of limestone banks and traversed by roadway fields. Geology and erosion create bizarre formations, a funny amphitheatre is called the “Parliament of the Marmots”. The “Alpe di Fanes Grande” consists of an idyllic walloon valley with alpine pastures, where a clear stream runs through.<\/p>\n

The trek is planned to climb along the Val di Fanes on the course of the Rio Fanes. Environment rich in water coming from the highlands and the peaks above, with an incredible succession of waterfalls, ravines, “mufflers”. You take altitude slowly: the right way to appreciate this beautiful valley surrounded by vertical walls.<\/p>\n

Once you reach the plateau of the valley, you will tip straight to the top of the Col Bechei, from where you can admire a panorama at 360 \u00b0 on the surrounding valleys. It is not difficult to spot the Ibex, who love to be stationed on this summit. Not by chance \u201cBechei\u201d means just ibex in the local dialect.<\/p>\n

You spend the night at altitude in one of the highland huts, where the peaks illuminated by the sunset are truly spectacular.<\/p>\n

The second day we walk along the Val di Fanes in all its length and then reach an incredible saddle: a rift between high vertical walls, which allows us to overlook the Lagazuoi<\/a> and the Armentarola.<\/p>\n

A trek along these places, full of landscapes and new environments, that crosses some of the most hidden places in the Dolomites.<\/p>\n
