At Rifugio Senes in winter, wandering on a snow-covered plateau, the scene of epic legends.<\/h2>\n

Reaching Rifugio Senes in winter is surely one of the most rewarding itineraries that can be done with snowshoes. Walking in the Senes plateau totally immaculate, out of the woods, where the undulations of the ground are rounded by the snow and only a few solitary peaks interrupt the whiteness of the landscape, it is a truly unique experience.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\"Rifugio<\/a><\/p>\n

Have you already done some easy snowshoeing and want to do more? This is an itinerary whose development and difference in altitude are considerable in winter, even if the climb is facilitated: the snow is groomed by the snowcats. There is an excellent shelter that allows us to rest and the descent follows a comfortable mule track built by Austrian engineers during the First World War. A great combination to try to dare something more.<\/p>\n

In our opinion, Rifugio Senes in winter is even more welcoming than in summer and the landscape even more fascinating. This is because we are immersed in a corner of truly uncontaminated nature, far from roads and ski facilities and the white dress that covers the landscape makes it even more wild and mysterious.<\/p>\n

We are in the heart of the Natural Park of Senes-Fanes and Braies, at the foot of the Croda del Beco and in front of the imposing Croda Rossa, which, according to legend, became this color when Princess Moltina blushed from embarrassment. Silence and peace are guaranteed, in fact the Rifugio Senes in winter is reached only by true nature lovers.<\/p>\n

Given the length of the itinerary it is possible to evaluate the idea of staying overnight in the rifugio Senes <\/i>(belive us, in the Dolomites the Rifugios <\/i>are not basic shelters) and enjoying two days in a magical place … why not? The plateau of Senes-Fanes-Braies and the Natural Park of Cortina d’Ampezzo offer in fact several itineraries full of charm that can be chosen for the following day.<\/p>\n
